Long Form Content ~
Meet the Bears
“Meet the Bears” was my first long-form content project after being assigned to the football team and served as an important introduction to creating feature-style storytelling within an athletics environment. The event brings local children together with the team to participate in drills and activities, creating a fun and engaging atmosphere while highlighting the program’s connection to the community that supports it.
For this assignment, I was responsible for capturing interviews with the head coach and two players discussing the significance of the event, while also gathering b-roll coverage throughout the day.
Day In the Life
This “Day in the Life” feature following Brayden Izyah was one of the most unique and personally rewarding long-form projects I worked on throughout the season. Unlike traditional game-day coverage, this project focused on documenting the everyday experiences and personality behind the athlete, allowing for a more authentic and human-centered style of storytelling.
Throughout the production process, I followed Brayden across various parts of his day, capturing candid interactions and conversations that highlighted his perspective on the school, the football program, and his teammates. One of the aspects I enjoyed most about this project was the opportunity to showcase the team environment outside of the intensity and pressure of competition. Seeing teammates interact in a more relaxed and genuine setting added an important layer of personality and authenticity to the final piece.
This project strengthened my ability to create narrative-driven content built around personality and emotion rather than action alone, while also reinforcing the importance of building trust and comfort with subjects in order to capture natural moments on camera.
2025 Football Season Recap
This was one of the largest and most time-intensive projects I worked on with the football team. As the season was coming to a close, I went back through all the game footage I had collected and began compiling what I considered the strongest moments. After finding a few songs that fit the tone I was aiming for, I slowly started stitching everything together. Over the course of about a week, I was able to bring the piece to completion, and I’m overall very happy with how it came out.
