Game Day Content ~

During my time at the University of Maine I was lucky enough to be a Creative Content Intern. While working there I learned how to capture high impact, real time game day content across a wide range of Division I athletics. Working in fast paced environments, I developed the ability to anticipate key moments, adapt quickly, and deliver compelling visual stories under tight timelines. I had the opportunity to cover every varsity sport, with a primary focus on track & field, and football, where I collaborated closely with the program to produce engaging content that elevated the team’s brand and enhanced the fan experience.

Game Recaps

A core responsibility of my role was producing post-game and post-meet recap videos, often as one of the primary videographers supporting the athletics department. This required quickly turning around high-quality content that captured the energy of competition, key moments, and the overall story of each event. Below is a selection of recap videos that reflect my ability to consistently deliver engaging, narrative-driven content on tight deadlines.

For the Day 1 recap, my objective was to use music and pacing to build a sense of anticipation and intensity that reflects the significance of a conference championship meet. Recognizing that athletes prepare all season for this moment, I selected a score with a subtle, ticking quality and paired it with quick, deliberate cuts to create tension throughout the piece. The edit transitions from warm-up footage into competition as the music evolves, reinforcing the shift from preparation to performance. Following an eight-hour day of on-site coverage, I completed the edit that same night, delivering a finished product by approximately 1:00 AM under a tight turnaround.

Traveling to William & Mary marked my first experience on the road with the football team and my first assignment operating independently as the Football Creative Director. This project reflects an important point of growth in my transition into that role. I am particularly proud of the pregame coverage, where I effectively captured the intensity and anticipation of the environment through strong composition and moment selection.

As this was my first time managing full game coverage as a solo videographer, I was simultaneously developing my approach to shooting football in a live setting. While there were areas of the in-game coverage that reflect that learning curve, this experience was instrumental in refining my workflow, positioning, and decision-making. The improvements made in subsequent games demonstrate a rapid progression in both technical execution and overall coverage strategy.

Homecoming at the University of Maine is always an especially memorable experience. The atmosphere of this particular game created an exciting environment to document and helped make it one of the most rewarding projects of the season. As the lead football videographer, I took on significant responsibility throughout the event, including coordinating coverage alongside the rest of the creative content staff to ensure the game-day experience was captured cohesively across multiple platforms. This project stands out as one of my favorite edits from the year and represents one of my strongest examples of visual storytelling and overall editing execution. Through pacing, shot selection, and sequencing, I aimed to capture both the scale of the event and the emotion surrounding game day at Maine Football.

For the Day 2 recap, my objective remained consistent in capturing the key highlights and defining moments of the meet, with an added emphasis on the emotion and finality of championship competition. As this day featured primarily finals, I focused on athlete reactions, celebrations, and the culmination of season-long efforts to convey the significance of the moment. To differentiate this piece from Day 1, I intentionally experimented with new editing techniques and pacing choices, creating a distinct tone despite similar locations and subjects. With a slightly extended turnaround, I was able to take a more deliberate approach in post-production, refining the overall feel while maintaining a strong, cohesive narrative.

Social First Content

As a videographer, I naturally gravitate toward horizontal video. I love the cinematic feel it creates and the ability to capture more of a scene within a single frame. To me, horizontal compositions often provide greater depth, atmosphere, and storytelling potential.

I fully recognize the growing importance of vertical content and the way audiences now consume media across social platforms. Because of this, I’ve worked to adapt my creative approach and develop content specifically designed with a social-first strategy in mind.

Below are some of my favorite vertical videos I’ve created for social media.
