UMaine Homecoming Edit
On this project, I captured both the game and the surrounding atmosphere of fans and crowd energy at the University of Maine’s homecoming football game. The goal of the edit was to translate not just the gameplay, but the full experience and emotion of being in Orono on game day into a social-first video.
The edit is structured around key moments from the game and environment—highlighting big plays, crowd reactions, and sideline energy—to build a sense of momentum and immersion. Rather than following a strict chronological format, the video prioritizes emotional pacing and energy flow.
Key creative decisions included:
Fast-paced editing to match the intensity of the game
Beat-synced cuts to enhance rhythm and engagement
A mix of wide, close-up, and reaction shots for visual variety
Prioritizing emotional impact over chronological storytelling
This project reflects my approach to sports content creation: building edits designed for modern platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, where retention, pacing, and engagement are just as important as storytelling.
The final piece transforms a full game experience into a high-impact, rewatchable moment that captures the energy of homecoming beyond the field.
